A lifestyle choice It seems that city buyers have changed. Most no longer have the desire to be secluded. They are happy to be closer to their neighbours, walk more and drive less. And they are willing to pay top dollar in key locations for townhouses, semi-detached homes and row houses. 125 attached properties sold for over $1.5 million last year. Five of these sales surpassed $3.5 million.
A local market Most purchasers for larger, significant attached properties are local. International buyers are not warming up to the concept of paying $3 million to share a wall with someone. If they are to share walls, they buy a condominium. Otherwise, they opt for a detached house.
